Residents of Seaforth
Manor Nursing' Home had a
most enjoyable trip Wednes-
day to the African Lion
Safari near catobritiee.
Arriving at the Safari at
11:30. we stopped and eti-
joyed a lunch in the picnic
area.
Residents were thrilled
and surprised to see so
many_ animals at such close
range.
Several monkeys en-
joyed a ride on the bu s and
one even kept -watch atop

The weather was ideal and.
several residents comment-
ed they would like to return
to the Safari again next year.
Accompanying residents
were Mary Finlayson and
Jackie Racho R.N.A.
Shirley Luther of the Sal-
vation Army visited Friday
afternoon and residents wel-

son took Harold Walsh.

Visiting again last week
with Mr. Ed. Litt were Phil
and Evelyn Armstrong of
Nanaimo B.C.. Drew Hat-
field of. Victoria B.C. and
Betty Macdel of Monition.
Also on Sunday Mr. Litt
enjoyed an outing with
members of his family.
Mrs. Russell Adams of
Stratford visited her father.
Ross Houghton. Saturday
afternoon.
Visiting with Mr. Wilbur
Keyes was his wife, Eunice
Keyes.
Visiting with Doris Wills
was Helen Pepper of Mit-
chell. Doris and Helen were
roommates in Stratford Hos-

The Londesboro Lions held
their annual Londesboro In-
vitational Golf Tournament
July 19 at Sunset Golf Course
in Goderich.
18 holes of Golf were
attempted by 55 golfers.
After the golfing the men
enjoyed .a delicious meal
during which the prizes were
Brad Kennedy acted as
emcee as the award present-
ed to Ken Pollard was a set of
golf balls for 1st low gros'
with a score of 81. 2nd low
gross, also with 81, was Bill
Harris who was presented
with a jacket donated by
Bruce Roy, area Pioneer
Corn Rep. Coming third with
a low gross score of 82 was
Bill Roy. who chose a set of
golf balls for his prize.
The top _ three low net
scorers were Jim Preszcator,
who chose a lawn chair. Bill
Shaddick winner of a hat and
Eric Shellenberger who pick-
ed a set of golf balls.
Murray Manning won 'the
closest to the pin contest on
the 16th. He .also chose a set
of golf balls as his prize. The
most honest golfer award
was presented to Jack .Arm-
strong and appropriately
enough, Jack chose a putter
practice hole.
Other prizes at drawn
were - Caldwell, a
screwdriver, John Snell,
sports socks, • Art Airdire,
hat, Jim LeBeate flashlight,
Guff Saundercock, brush,
Tom Wheeler, set of balls

PeeWee girls travelled to
Varna to hand their Stanley

Tuesday night while the
Midget girls played a sarong
game but allowed the Stanley
Midgets to even the score in
Varna, as they lost in the
late innings.
In boys action Radford's
Jays travelled to Holmesville
and came 'home with a tie
game; their second in a row.
Allen's "As" played host to

losing in a well played
match. The Bantams hosted
Weekend visitors with Mr.
and Mrs. Glen Carter and
Colleen were Mr. and Mrs.
Larry Carter, Simcoe and
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Johnston,
London. While here Mr. and
Mrs. Carter attended a col-
lege class reunion at Port
Albert.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank John-
ston enjoyed a week's holi-
day when they flew to Leduc,
Alberta .to visit son Earl.

son Manitoba visited Satur-
day with his Aunt, Dora
