La Leche. League in Huron
County South has been hold-
ing meetings in Eketer this
summer and will 'continue
through until September at
the home of Diane Banks on
Main St.
This month our local
league will send three dele-
gates to hear health leaders
from around the world,
speaking at the eighth Inter-
national Conference of La
Leche League in' Chicago.
Illinois. Li Leche is an inter-
national organization which
offers information and en-
couraement to mothers who
want to breastfeed their
bitbies.
"La Leche League": Lead-
ing the Renaissance" of
breastfeeding for 25 years,"
the theme for this confer-
ence, expresses the part this
organization has played in
"bringing back" breastfeed-
ing, as over 50 per cent of
newborns are nor being
breastfed.
The three day conference,
featuring more than 150 ses-
sions, focusing on the phys-
ical and emotional well-being
of children will be one of the
special events during
25th anniversary

'inclitde pediatricians, psych-
, iatrists, allergists, nutriont-
ists and others with particul-
ar expertise in related fields.
