Reinfields On Saturday, June 27th, Mss Etas Reinfelds was honoured at a surprise retire- ment tea. held in First Presbyterian Church Sea- forth. Elza was a member_o the nursing staff of Scott Memorial Hospital and then Seaforth Community Hospit- al for a total of 29' years. Many good wishes were received from 'former staff co-workers who were unable to attend the party and over 80 friends called during, the afternoon to wish her well in her new home in Toronto. Scott's,77th birthday with her at Huronview were _tarn left, Annie_ _Harrison,— Belle Campbell, Miss Scott, Janet Baker and Esther Campbell. Our sick and visiting chair- man Comrade Henry Ziter has a couple of,bus loads of veterans coming on' July 21st from Westminister Hospital. Henry is going to entertain .these vets at his own house and will be looking for a little help from some of our members. I Walton, placed second in a technical report writing contest sponsored b} the Society of Mechanical Engineers. London Chapter. Bruce. a Grade 12 student at Central Huron Secondary School wrote his report on Ram Air, a London based indujstry. He and his parents attended an awards presentation at the The Barn Restaurant where he was presented with a prize of $50. Seaforth Legion Branch 156 held a successful pork barbecue Saturday evening and during a dance which followed Mrs. Angus MacLean won the June SO-50 draw. Her share was $251.88 Mrs., Bruce Gehan of North Sydney, Nova Scotia is visiting her sister and brother Mrs.Patricia Troutbeck and Mr. Kenneth Southgate. Other guests at the same home were Mrs. R.S. Johnston, Brampton and Miss Helen Turner, Mississauga. Mr. and Mrs. M.E, Clark visited their daughter Mrs. _ Moe—Witerworlh; Mr. and Mrs. James A. Stewart and Dnand Mrs. 3.0. Turnbull were in Brussels Monday evening attending the 35th anniversary, celebration of the Brussels Lions Club. The Brussels club was sponsored by Seafoirth in 1946. Mr. Stewart was guest speaker for the anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. John W. Thompson left last week by air for a Visit in Minneapolis, Minn. Mrs. Pearl McFarlane of Huronview was in Seaforth on Friday visiting friends. Dr. John Turnbull and Mrs. Turnbull were in Guelph Over the weekend attending the 40th reunion pr. Turnbull's class. He -graduated from Ontario Veterinary College in 1941. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Rutledge of Toronto spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. iud Walker. Mr. and-Mrs. Irwin Johnston are in Calgary and Banff Alberta visiting their son and daughter. Mr. Frank Larone of San Diego. Cal., is visiting his brother Mr. Elmer Larone and Mrs. Larotie in HarpOrhey.
