.. We think there are more practical and creative uses And we think -
Huron Expositor readers should have plenty Of ideas on the subject.
That's why we are announcing a contest. The prizes, although as yet
not firmed up, will be unique and valuable. Something along the line of a
gourmet picnic lunch at the Lions Park with Alan Aida or Anne Murray.
We make no promises., but something along those lines.
But prizes aside, the contest's aim is simple. Write us about the best
use you can think of for the High St. site. After all you, if you're a
Seaforth taxpayer, will soon be part owner of the land and building.' .-
We're looking for
uiI`ding.'We'relookingfor Imaginative,, dare we say funny?, solutions as well as
the most practical use, for the site. Some suggestions we've already heard
include a park that can' be used by apartment dwellers next door, a
parking lot that will take the heat off Main St., and a garden plot that
could be rented by Seaforthites without any land to try out green thumbs
'On.
You can endorse one of those ideas, or the town's present solution, or
you can come up with something better. Let your imagination and your
practical planning ability loose and write us in 500 words or less about
your use for the site.
We'd like to hoar from you by next Friday, July 10. If we can't do them
one better we don't have much right to criticize our council's decision.
We'd like you to sign your entry but If tberes some pressing reason we
won't print It.
We'll print the collective wisdom.of our readers though, and we're sure
there's a lot of it out there.
So -get those I funny, Imaginative and eminently. practical uses for the
