not longer be .used. When
Mr. Scott returned' to Sea-
forth after an extended
leave, new courts had been
built by the High School, the
ones still there. Mr. Scott
says now the enthusiasm for
tennis has returned.
However,, he mentioned
that the courts aren't in very
good shape: Water may sit
on the courts for days after a
rain, before it is swept away,
and this has pointed to need
for a new surface.
. He and several other
tennis buffs see the need for
a tennis club which would
establish roles for the courts.
and consider re-surfacing

mentioned to Abe Recreation
director 'Bryan. Peter. who
held an organizational meet-
ing last Thursday.

If you are, interested im
piayinvertnis, it would likely
tie worthwhile to - express
interest in this club. Mr.
Scott said "we really don't
want things to change, but
want them a bit more organ-
ized."
He has participated in
dubs in the Niagara and
Muskoka regions, and in
Germany, and has adopted
several ideas on . how to
operate the club. He empha-
sized that these ideas are
only his suggestions, and the
tennis club would have to
decide how it would operate.
A common problem is that
in prime times of usage
(evening), the courts are in
use constantly, and there are
tea rules to limit playing time.
Mr. Scott suggested two
solutions for this: establish
playing rules so if there is a
fine-up, the group currently
playing would finish a set,
then the next group would
play one set., And by install-
mg lights, night playing
could be extended by ..about
two hours.
A benefit of having a
tennis club would be to have
