recently when Seaforth's Ro-
bert and Mary Thompson,
brother and sister, both went
to the try-outs for the re-
gional basketball team.

. clinic, six were chosen for the
-Sarnia clinic, and she and
Kathy Larone, another SDHS
player, were two of the six.
Unfortunately, Kathy was
unable to go. Two other
SDHS students who attended
the Medway clinic were Eddy
Nielsen and Dave Murray.

The Medway clinic invited
people from various parts of
the region, such as London
and Chatham, so that gives
an indication of the calibre of
competition the. three players

serious too, so while you
learn you have fun." That's
the type of atmosphere in
which a person does -their
best.
Since Mary was chosen as
Playing against a strong
wind in the fast half, the St.
Columban soccer squad fell
behind 2-0 in the early going
MitChill last Sunday. Hot
the boys in green were not to
be outdone as they battled
back with two quick goals to
tie the game at the end of the
first half. Then with the wind
at their bacis, St. Columban
started the second half very
strongly and scored to take a
3-2 lead.
But as the game.v.vre on,
St. Columban seemed con-
tent to sit on they lead,
which almost back& d as St.
Bartolomeo come close 'to
tying the game,
St. Columban's goals were
scored by Ernie Szabo, Rich-.
and Verbern and Tony Arts.
Saturday's gime saw Tony
Gibbings playing his first
gime since breaking his leg
late last season.
