Mosquitoes hosted the Sea-
forth Mosquitoes and won
9-0.
Goals were scored by

June 9 St, Columban Atom
B team played Seaforth in a
very tough game. Billy Van
Bakel scored a quick goal in
-the first two minutes of play,
which put the locals ahead.
In the second half Seaforth
put in a lot of pressure but
St. Columban was able to
hold them off and win the
gdme 1-0 with the good
goaltending of Rob Sloan.
June 10 the Squirts hosted
Clinton in a close game.
Clinton went ahead by one in
the first half but late in the
second half St. Columban
came back with two goals by
Sean Melady to win the game
2-1.
Next week, Tuesday June
16 both Atom teams play
each other and the Mosqui-
toes travel to Goderich today.

the Men's Recreational ball
tournament were played in
the "A" and "B" finals
Sunday afternoon.
-After dodging the rain , all
weekend the final games

May 25, where they lost 3-0.

On June 1. -the Mosquitoes
played the Clinton B team.
Both teams were very' even
until- late in the first half,
when MIChael Sehoonder-
woerd opened the scoring for
St. Columban: however,
Clinton soon tied it up.
Then in the second half
Michael Kelly clinched the
victory for St. Columban with
two quick goals and the game
ended 3-1 for St. Columban.
On Tues. June 2nd the
Atom A team hosted the
Goderich B team and woo
4-0. Goals were scored by
Jamie 1lill With two and
Chris Hoegy with two. It was
a well played game.
On June 3 the Atom B-
team went to Seaforth where
they won 6-0 over Seaforth
Atom girls. Goals were
scored by Jeff Holmes. Ray-
morld-Murray -with-two. -Bill -
Van Bakel. two and Terry
Kelly.
They also travelled to God-
erich June 4 for a very tough
game and lest by a 1-0 score.

The "B" championship
went to Mainstreeters as
they scored a 1 to 0 victory
over Turf club,
Both pitchers. Ken Beuer-
man of Mainstreeters and
Ets Delvecchio of Turf were
at their best, allowing no
runs until the bottom of the
seventh.
Turf managed only- -two
bunt singles and the Main-
streeters managed only eight
hits. Two of these hits came
in the last inning as Larry
Dalton singled, stole second
and third. and then scored on
Doug' Fry'S single to give the
"B" championship to Main-
streeters,
The Queens, Village.
Mninstreet and Turf club are
four teams who now advance
to the Seaforth Men's invita-
tional tournament held July
17, 18 and 19. Teams froth
Exeter. Zurich. Clinton and
Goderich will fight it out.
A special thanks should go
out to league president Bill
Price and treasurer Terry
Craig who put a lot cif work
into the tournament, made
sure everything ran smooth-
ly, and kept • the ball diamond
in good shape. Congratula-,
tions on a job well done. ,
