Mary Layton, and Glen Lay -
ton took his mother. Mary
tayton to Stratford.
Bessie Smale was taken to
her old farm. Staffa for a visit
and supper Saturday.
After a three week period
without a game of bridge
owing to circumstances be-
yond my control, I was able
to get a game June 4. To get
a day more suitable I have
changed the day from Friday
to Thursday or Tuesday ex-
cept for the first Tuesday in
the month.
Leone Rowat R.N. and
Esther Brady joined Gladys
Brightrall anc1.1 for an excit-
ing game Thursday.
W heti we cut the cards for
partners Leone and I paired
off against Gladys and
Esther.
We play* for two hours from
two to four p.m. after which
Thelma serves afternon tea
or coffee and cookies. We
play to win, but are satisfied
if we get the best from our
cards which may be good or
otherwise.
LOSING STREAK
For quite sometime I have
been on the losing side but
my luck seemed to change as
the score put Leone and I on
the winning side with 2000 to
800 points.' lt is a decided
pleasure to pass such an
enjoyable afternoon.
Birthday greetings to our
new resident Martin Wiles
from Kitchener, 67.
Betty Beuttennziller came
and took Anna Hoegy to her
home on Centre St. for the
afternoon. "
Some of the residents-
played bingo and bowled but
at the moment scores are not
available.
