A new program by Bell
Canada, which will convert
the Dublin area to a ;maxi-

tuna exchange August,
will -be nied by an
increase of slightly less than
ten per cent in the basic
monthly rate.

'Perth County, Council
appointed Tim Nicholson,
Chairman of the former
Perth County Historical
Board, to the new City of
Stratford and County of
Perth Archives Board- at its
regular meeting on June 9.
Two elected Country rep-
resentatives, Reeve Ronald
Dunham of Blanshard Town- ,
ship and Reeve Robert Foth-
eringham of Wallace Town-
ship, had been appointed ,
previously.
The Archives Board be-
comes necessary as the re-
suit of the dissolution of the
Perth ' County Historical
Board, effective June 30.
Council received a copy, of

Council of South Easthope
Township on May 25. The
resolution requested County
Council "to take immediate
steps to retain the Fryfogel
Inn as a historic site and that
A committee be appointed to
look after the operation of
same."
the resolution was also
-supported by Downie Town-
ship Council.
County Council resolved to
advise the Council of South
Easthope Township that Fry-
fogel Inn was designated as a
historic site in 1973 or 1974
and is now being returned to
the Avon Valley Historical
Society.
The Executive Committee
of Peyth County Council re-
ported that Mr. NiCholson
asked Council to clarify its
statement' regarding an
'amount of $70,000.00 being
spent at'the Fryfogel Inn and
it still remaining in a state of
"restoration disrepair.",
The statement appeared in
an open letter to ratepayers
that Councilv..' published in

Mr. Nicholson pointed out
