although most of these
people were Canadians.
Even if a person didn't
kndw where Seaforth is. they
might be able to identify with
some of the'people who have
lived or do live in Seaforth.
Think of Johnny Nielsen. the
athlete who has a field classic
named after him, Lloyd
Eisler, the skating star with
his partner 'LOrri BAjer.
People might know hittras a
famous Seaforthite.

Names aren't the only
things that Seaforth has go-
ing far it. Think of the things
.that we have n Seaforth, that
stay put and'are well known;
There's a lot once you think
of it. Cardno's Hall is a well
known building in the town
and other towns in the' area.
We have a good business
section There's lots right
here at hinne so why spend
the money travelling to the
city for shopping and enter-
tainment purposes?
For teens there are dances
every once in a while hosted
by, different organiptions.
The Ego Club has dances
every month or so and the

Seaforth might be identi-
fied with Alfie Dale the
painter who sketches with
his mouth instead of his
hands which are paralysed.
His paintings are well known
throughout Huron County.
Seaforth is known as the
friendly town. The friendly
town it is. I guess that could
tend to be a problem since it
is Customary to walk down
the main street of Seaforth
and say hello to everyone you
know or see. If you were to

Seaforth has a lot going for
it because of what's in it and
what's around it. Stratford.
the festival city is close
enough that we can go in a
half hour to shop, eat out or
go to a show. Going the other
way, we can get to Goderich
in the same amount of time
• for the same reasons. Eight
miles away, we can go to the
drive-in' in Clinton, so mile-
age is no problem. If you like
cities, it is convincing • to

on ns, it is nice to be so close
to Lake Huron: We can.go to
BayfielkGoderich or Grand
Bend for a day and enjoy the
same sun that we'd enjoy if
we travelled a long' distance
to Florida or South Carolina
for example.
Seaforth has a lot to offer.
A good newspaper to give
the news of • the town and
country. We are getting
more well known for our
accomplishments and will
probably continue to do so.

TEAM EFFORT — Grade four students, at Seaforth public School took
part in Green Week by getting all hands at work in planting a tree. The
trees were provided by the Seaforth Horticultural Society.
