The Young People of
Carmel Presbyterian Church
met March 4 in the school-
'mom of the church with 30 in'
attendance. \Guests were the
St. Marys Youth Group.
Jane Pollock and Nancy
Van BioW'an sang several
numbers while accompany-
ing otr their guitars. They
also 'played for everyone to
sing •along.
Several games, contests
and bingo were enjoyed by
all with ,winners .receiving
prizes. % A short business
period was held. The next
meeting to be held April I.
All members are, to bring a
craft or hobby.
Allin Mitchell gave a re-
port Qn May Camp which is
to be held during the the long
weekend at Camp Kintail.
Any interested members are
encouraged to get their
names in to their leaders as
early as possible as \there k
limited accommodation. The
deadline is March . 15th.
The `members were re-
minded that March 29 At-
wood is holding their volley-
ball tournament. Any in-
terested team members are
to contaet Mary T.,h9mson.
The C.P.T.' of tlk, 100E
and Rebekah Lodges are
holding , an open euchre
March 12. Everyone is wel-
come.
On March 3 the U.C.W.
of Chiselhurst United Church
met at the home of Mts.
Alvin Cole. The president.
Dorothy Brintnell opened'the
program with a liciem
"Spring Time".
Mrs. Gerald Glenn was in
charge of the worship for
Shrove Tuesday. It was
"March • Winds and Sun-
shine".
Roll call was answered, by
an exchange of your favour-
ite recipe. An invitation was
accepted from Cromary and
accepted from Crernarty and
Kippen Ladies' for April 7
and April 14. The Chisel-
hurst ladies' were in charge
of the "World Day of Prayer
Service" in Hensall United
Church. Match 6. and also
will be entertaining at
Queensway Nursing. Home
each Monday in March. A
"Thank You" was received
from the Scout organization
in Hensall,
The April meeting was
'reviewed and will be held in
the Manse. Hensall. It was
decided not to participate at
a booth at the Fiddler's
Contest in June. Members
are reminded to keep any
clippings for reference for
handicapped people.

Was held at Irene FinlaySon's
on'February 26. 1981. At this
, meeting the leaders checked
our books to make sure that
they were up to date. Also
Irene Finlayson brought our
material for our samples to
the meeting so we could
begin them at home..

to do hems and then we tried
to sets each of the kinds of
hems on a sample piece of

Man hurt in
car-truck collision
Harold, Smith, Ofir of St.
Catharines, was in' critical
condition • at University
Hospital.* London. Tuesday
night,,,after an accident east
of Hensall. Mr. Smith's
vehicle was cut in teen when
it was, i.tl collision_ with
Hensall District Co-op• grain
truck. driven by Kenneth
Ferguson of Hensall. The
accident occurred 'at the in-
tersect* of Highway 83 and
Huron County Road II. east
of Exeter.
Mr. Ferguson was 'treated
at South Huron Hospital.
'Exeter. following the ac-
cident and released.
Police said the truck was
westbound on Highway M3
and Smith was southbound
