Aloysta Nigh, 74, erHuronview, formerly
of Seaforth died on Thursday June 27, 1985.
Miss Nigh was born on October 1, 1910 in
Seaforth. She was the daughter of Joseph and
Matilda Nigh.
Miss Nigh is survived by one sister, Sister
Febronia of Mt. St. Joseph Mother House of
London. She was predeceased by a sister
Elizabeth and three brothers, Louis, Patrick
and Joseph. Also surviving are three nieces
and three nephews.
Rosary prayers for Miss Nigh were held at
the Beattie Funeral Home, Clinton on June
28.
Miss Nigh was a member of St. Joseph's
Roman Catholic Church in Clinton and
Requiem Mass was held on June 29 from the
church with Father John. Pluta officiating.
Interment was held in the Clinton Ceme-
tery, Pallbearers were Ed Cappelli, George
Tracey, mike Moriarty, Ken Reidy, Ken
Dupee and Bill Brand.
GEORGE GIBSON HEIBEIN
George Gibson Heinbein, 88, of RR 1 Blyth
and formerly of Brussels, died Friday, June
28, 1985' at Victoria HoSpital
He is survived by his wife Charlotte; seven.
daughters, Mrs: Vic (Jean) Fox, RR 3 Blyth,
Mrs. Lorne (Gertrude) Lambkin, Fordvvich,
Mrs. Gerald (Kathleen) Bridge, Brussels,
Mrs. Allan (Ruth) Parkhouse, Atwood, Mrs.
Bob (Julenia) Draper, Brussels, Mrs. Fred
(Joyce) Jones, Milverton and Mrs. Thomas
(Phyllis) Hanna, of Whilty; four sons,
Stanley, Listowel, John, Guelph, William,
Palmerston and Lloyd, Brussels.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs; Kate
Consens, of British Columbia and Mrs. Annie
Mitchell, of Molesworth; 42 grandchildren.
and 41 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Heinbehi rested at tire Brussels
Chapel and a service was conducted from the
M.L Watts Funeral Home on Monday, July
1, with Rev. Stanley MacDonald officiating,
Honorary pallbearers were Lorne Lambkin
Gerald Bridge,-Allan Parkhouse, Bob Draper
Fred Jones and Thomas Hanna.
As expressions of ,sympathy donations can
be made to the Ontario Heart and Stroke
foundation.
EMILY "ALICE' SCOTT
Emily "Alice" Scott, 89, of Brucefield died
on June 26, 1985 at Seaforth Community
Hospital. •
Mrs. Scott was born in Stanley Township
on September 14, 1895. She was predeceased
by her parents Charlotte and William Henry
Rattenbury. She was a member of the
Brucefield United Church and a member of
the UCW,
Mrs. Scott is survived by her husband,
-Ross Scott. The couple were married in
Brucefipld United Church on September 26,
1925,
Sheds also survived by her daughter, Mrs.
Leon (Ruth )Rushcall of Victoria B.C. and one
son, Ken of Brucefield. She is also survived
by .eight grandchildren and three great-
grandchildren. Mrs. Scott is predeceased by
one sister and one brother.
Funeral services were held at Ball and
Falconer Funeral Home, Clinton, on June 28
with Mr. Donald Moffat of Brucefield United
Church officiating.
Pallbearers were Aldie Mustard, Ivan-
Wight/rum, Mac Wilson, all of Brucefield,
Jack Davidson of Seaforth, John Broadfoor
and Stuart Wilson of Brucefield.
Interment was held at Baird's Cemetery in
Stanley Township.
GERTRUDE HANNAH BOWER
Gertrude Hannah Bolger (born Payn),
formerly of Brussels, died at Huronview, on
July 4. She was 81.
Mrs. Bolger was predeceased by her,
husband, Harry James Bolger, who died Nov.
24, 1973. She was also predeceased by her
brother Cecil Payne and sister Pearl (Mrs.
Fred Fowler), and theit,Parents Bernice and
Mary Ellen (Sinith).
Mrs' Bolger retired"Aug. 31, 1961, after
.serving as a Bell Telephone operator for 33
years at the tell Exchange of Listowel,
Hanover, Goderich, Seaforth and Kitchener.
She was also a member of the Tecumseh
Council of the Telephone Pioneers of
America.
She is survived by her stepdaughter,
Marilyn Engel, RR 2 Brussels, her stepson
Jim, of Calgary, and her sister-in-law Mrs.
Cecil Payne of RR 2 Bluevale.
She is also survived by her nephews Ross
Fbwler and' his wife•Mildred of Southampton, •
Don Fowler and this wife Audrey of Port
Elgin, Harvey Payne and his wife Marjorie of
Wroxeter, Scott Payne and his wife Ola of RR
2 Gadshill, and her niece Joan (Mrs. Bill
Adams) of Amherstburg.
Funeral services were held July 6 at the
M.L Watts Funeral Homes, Reverend Robin
Lyons officiating. Burial was at the Brussels
Cemetery.
Pallbearers were George, Steve, John,

Cecil and Mark Payne and Doug Goar. Flower
bearers were Sharon Engel and Roseanne
Burdett.
JAMES THOMAS McFARLANE
James Thomas McFarlane of Brussels died
at the Wingham and District Hospital July 6.
He was 85.
He was the son of the late George
McFarlane and Mary Ellen Turnbull,
Funeral services were held at the Brussels •
chapel of the Watts Funeral 'Homes July 8,
with Reverend Victor Jamieson efficiatmg.
Burial was at the Brussels Cemetery,
Mr. McFarlane was a member of the
Melville Presbyterian Church, of which he
served as an elder on the board for many
years. Donations may be made to the Melville
Presbyterian Church Memorial. Fund.
Pallbearers were Sam Sweeney, Graham
'Work, Jim Bowman, Lloyd Wheeler, Jim
Cardiff and Clarence Bishop. The flower
bearer was. Mr. McFarlane's grandson,
Roger Evans.
Mr. McFarlane was predeceased by his
wife' Grace (Kernaghan), who died in 1960,
and his brother Roy. \
He is survived by two daughters, 'Mary. Lou,
(Mrs. Jack Fish) of Burlington and Jane
(Mrs. Doug Evans) of Ethel. He is also
survived by six grandchildren, and his sister
'Millie, of the CaUander Nursing Home in
Brussels.

attend parade
for Tuckersmith
The holiday weekend was a busy one. The
Seaforth Health Care Facility had a bake and
penny, sale and an afternoon tea table with
proceeds to the Altzheimer's Society.
Saturday afternoon residents went to see
the beautiful parade the Tuckersmith Sesqui-
centennial put on. • "
Sunday afterran visitors inclu Dor-
othy Dillon, who visited Mabel H dy, Mary
Ryan and Rose Murray.
Mary Lamont visited Kelly.
Gladys Ruston was home in Stratford for
the, day with her family.^
Isabel Scott came in to see husband Bill.
Ruth Noll went home for the weekend with
her husband Oscar to Palmerston.
Leo O'Sullivan went out for the afternoon
with his brother Jim. ' , •
Allen Kemp visited wife Online Kemp.
Allen Murray, London, visited his grand-
mother and Mary Margaret Maloney. Gib
Murray was in to see Rose Murray.
Mang Garrett and Jim Coneway, Hayfield,
and Ethel Giffin with her son Melville,
Sarnia, visited Mabel Handy.
Kaken and Al Geddes visited Carol
Geddes.
Dave and Eva Netzke went out for, the
afternoon to Pat and Rose Altman's home.
Marjorie Maloney came in and took Harold
home for the afternoon.
Rose Murray attended her grand-
daughter's wedding in St. Thomas. She was
accompanied by her grandson Don Murray
and his wife Christine. • ,
Ede Dow enjoyed, the day out with his
daughter Mabel Clark at tayfield.
Elmer Bakscy and Pat Ryan attended the
Canada Day fireworks display at SDHS with
Yenny Dimaline.
Administrator Anne Helm is away on
holiday. Residents join in wishing her an
enjoyable one.
Many thanks go out to all who helped in any
way for the Altzheimer's fundraiser.

Douglas James Dolmage and Karen Lynn
W alker were married Saturday, June 291
1985 at londesbOro United Church by Rev.
Dave Snihur. The groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Roy Dolmage of RR 1 Londesboro and
the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Donald Jackson of Goderich. Best man was
Earl Dolmage of Elora, brother of the groom,
and ushers were Frank Dolmage of RR 1
Seaforth, brotherof the groom. and Tim Scott
of Kitdiener, brother-in-law of the bride.
Maid of honor was Shelly Cooke of Goderich,
friend of the bride, and bridesmaids were
Rosanne Dill of London, niece of the groom,
and Doreta Jackson of Kitchener, sister of the
bride. A reception was held at the Blyth
Community Centre. Following a wedding trip
to Southern Ontario the couple now reside in

Stratford woman
wins quilt draw
A Stratford woman was the winner of a
quilt during Tuckersmith Sesquicentennial
activities,
Mrs. Ross MacLean, of Huron Street, was
the lucky winner of a handmade quilt. In the
same draw Toby Phillips, of Egmondville,
won $100 and Shannon Craig, of RR 1
Walton, won $75.
In an auction Louis McNichol purchased a
quilt made by women of the Kippen East
Institute. Mel Graham purthased the Tucker-
smith Ladies quilt.
BIRTHS
LESLIE: Craig is very happy to announce the
birth of his sister Carrie Louise 7 lb. 3 oz. on
June 25 at Stratford General Hospital. Proud
parents are Graeme and Louise Leslie. For
the second time around spoiling privileges go
out to Ferg and Teresa Feeney, Dublin and
Neil and Orell Leslie of Mitchell,
