IS IT WISE TO PLAN
MY OWN FUNERAL?
It was the Earl of Warwick who said
there is nothing more certain than death
and nothing more uncertain than the
time of dying He would he prepared
for death at all times, he states, and his
preparedness would not make him die
the sooner, but the better
This individual insight is very enlight-
ening and practical We have pre-plan-
ned funerals with many members of our
community who share some of these
same sentiments Many have expressed
great relief in their foresightedness
They say it's a comfort to know
everything will be well-handled, and
will cost no less and no more than you
want it to be
Rather than perrrrit a third party to
arrange things or cause your loved ones
the anguish and painful burden of
funeral details, you may wish to plan
your own funeral down to the smallest
details

young women as secretaries and employees

What kind of government is going to be the
fate of the people of Ontario? With the
strange alliance of the Liberals and the New
Democrats (the NDP swaying the balance of
power); all lacking experience in governing;
the opposition party smarting at the ending of
the long Progressive Conservative reign,
there is bound to be confusion. problems and
tumult. How long will the unlikely pact of \
Liberals and NDP last? We, (the voters)
unwarily brought about the present situation
and will have to live with the consequences,
be they be good or unfortunate.
Robots, those electronic creatures her-
alded as unique, capable help for humans
that could be depended on to perform
numerous duties, seemingly cannot always
be trusted to perform in a decorous manner.
A robot used to serve wine in a swank
restaurant in Edinburgh, Scotland, went
beserk, frightened customers, upset furni-
ture, spilled wine and finally lost his head in a
diner's lap. What defense have mere humans
when an electronic machine goes amok?
