They were beaten twice by the high- flying Exeter Hawks (7-6 in Seaforth onTuesday and 6.1 in Exeter on Sunday) and once, by the Thamesford Tro- jans in Thamesford. The Centenaires have 14 points comprised of 6' wins, 10 losses, and 2 ties. They trail the third place Tavistoek Braves by one point and hold a one point lead over last place Lucall- Irish. The Cen- tenaires play .at home to Lucan this Friday, night and journey to Tavistock on Satur- day. • EXETER 7 SEAFORTH 6 The Exeter Hawks scored "---threelimes.in the first period and had strong goaltending the rest of the game as they edged the Centenaires 7-6. The Centenaires were out- shot in the first frame 22-10. •06'.0The second periocesaw the ibcals outplay the Hawks •and after two periods the score was 5-4 for. Exeter. Seaforth outshot their opponents 19-13. THAMESFORD 6 • SEAFORTH 2 The Thamesford Trojans scored two shorthanded goals and one power play goal as they downed the Centenaires 6.2. Although being outshot , 35-28 by the Centenaires, they managed to have. a 2.0 lead after the first period and inCreased it to 3.0 after two. The Centen.- Aires however roared back with two goals early in the third to draw within one goal of the leaders. The Centenaires preased hard but could not put , the puCk past Thamesforj,goalie Andy . , Riley. Thamesford came on later in the period to score 'three more against Centenaires , goalie Louie Arts, who was playing in only his. first game after . a two-- Week lay -tiff. ',#6.y.ne„ Parkin- son and Ian Doig 'scored for the Centenaires who picked up 26 minutes in penalties as' compared 'to the' Trojans, 42 minutes. EXETER 6 .SEAFORTH '1 . The Exeter Hawks had little trouble in handling the Centenaires on their home ice as they easily defeated them 6-1. The fast skating Hawks led 3-0 after- the first and , increased it to 4-0 ifter two periods. The Centenaires who managed only 15 shots on goal were outplayed badly throughout the game' Ian Doig scored .the lone .goal for the Centenaires at ,the 7:49 mark of the third period. Dan McClure. in the Sea.forth nets played bril- liantly after taking over from starting goalie Louie Arts. Had it not been for McClure the score could have been much higher as he stopped several , point blank drives. Fifteen minor penal- ties were called in the game with the Centenaires taking eight of them.
