St. Marys. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
John Droog, St..,Marys and the groom's parents are Mr.
and Mrs. Joseph'Van Dooren, Seaforth, Miss Heather
Urquhart, Toronto, was the bride's. Maid of Honor.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Laura Patterson, Thurndale,
sister of , the grpom, Mrs. Janet Munro, Egmondville
and Miss Cindy Bryan, Calgary. The groom was
attended by John Arts, Seaforth as best man. Ushers
were Henry Droog, Carlton Place, brother of-the bride,
Tony Van Asseldonk, Wallaceburg, cousin of the groom
and John Mark Nash, Seaforth.
A reception was held at St. Marys Area Community
Centre. The young couple are living on the groom's
farm, R.R.1, Seaforth.

Trudy Claessens, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew
Claessens of Dublin was united in marriage to Albert J.
Burgers, Stratford, at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic
Church, Stratford, on August 12. 1978.
Father Jim Williams performed the double ring
ceremony. Mrs. Lucille Rousseau was the organist, and
Mrs. Rose Marcey was soloist.
The bride and groom were given in marriage by their
parents.
The maid of honor was Mary Diegel, sister of the bride,
and Debbie Schafer of St. Catharines was bridesmaid.
Sandra Claessens was flowergirl.
John Burgers was bestman, and Harold Burgers was
usher; both of Stratford and brothers of the groom. Jamie
O'Reilly of Dublin.' was ringbearer.
A dinner and reception were held at the Brodhagen
Community Centre with guests attending from St.
-Catharines, _ Burlington_ Landon,
Stratford, Seafortlf and Dublin areas.
Following a honeymoon to Northern and Eastern
Ontario, the couple resides at 645 William Street, #207,

Sharon Ann Brodie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don
Brodie of Brucefield and Charles John Snell, son of Mr.
and Mrs. James Snell, R.R.1, were married in Brucefield
United Church on October 7 in a double ring •ceremony.
Rev. R. McMullen officiated at the ceremony. The. bride
was given in marriage by her father. The matron of honor
was Mrs. Marie Fitzsimmons of Hayfield and the
bridesmaids were Margarite Snell, sister of the groom;
Mrs. Helen Westrsa, friend of the bride from Chatham;
and th'e bride's sisters, Mrs. Debra Paton of Mount Elgin
and Sally Brodie of Brucefield. The groomsman was Harris
Snell of Londesboro and the ushers were Bob Coleman of
Kitchener, Ron Irwin of London, Robert Snell, brother of
the• groom and David Brodie, brother of the bride. The
organist was Mrs. Dorothy McGregor and Anne Snell, a
sister of the groom, was the soloist. Glen McGregor piped
the bridal party out of the church following the ceremony.
Following the wedding, a dinner was held in the church
hall, followed by a dance in the Hensall Community Hall.
After a honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple have taken up
residence on the groom's farm ,at R.R.I. Clinton.

On Saturday. August 12. 1978 at 3:00 p.m. in St.
Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Dublin, Colleen Rita.
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lou Rowland, and Brian
Douglas., son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Eickmeier of
R.R.5, Mitchell, were united in marriage. Following the
double ring ceremony, Rev. Gordon Dill celebrated the
Nupital Mass. Altar Boys were Pat Bruxer and John
Rowland, cousin of the bride. Miss Jayne Delaney of
Dublin was organist and was accompanied by Debra
Scheerer of Stratford, and Audrey Mulholland of
London who sang during the celebration of the
ceremony and the Mass. Larry Flanagan presented the
readings. The bride's attendants were her sisters.
Luanne Rowland as maid of honour, Mary Margaret
Mtirtha as bridesmaid, as well as the bride's cousin,
Denise Lane, and the groom's sister, Brenda Smith.
Ron Smith, the groom's brother-in-law, acted as best
Man. The ushers were friends of the groom, Darwin
Dietz and Bob Campbell, and the bride's brother, Pat
Rowland. Following the dinner at Hessen Haus of
Seaforth, and the reception at the Dublin Athletic
Association Pavillion, the bridal couple travelled to
Niagara*Falls ,and northern New York state and are now
residing in Dublin.
