William Lindsay Ireland.
98, died Thursday.
September 21st in Winghant
and District Hospital. He was
the son of the late James K.
Ireland and Jean Ross.
He farmed almost his
entire life on concession 3. of
Morris Twp. In 1919 he was
married to Mary Isabel,
Anderson who predeceased
him in 1958. He was a
life-long member of Brussels,
Melville Presbyterian
Church.
He is survived by one
daughter, Mary, Mrs.
Stewart McCall of Walton
and four grandchildren and
three great grandchildren.
One son. James, pre-
deased him in 1977. The
funeral service was held on
'Saturday. September 23 con-
ducted by Rev.. K. Innes of
Melville' Presbyterian
Church'- Burial was in Brus-
sels Cemetery: •

Thursday at Seaforth Com-
munity Hospital.
Born in Brussels he was a
son of the late Eliza (par-
rows) and John ..Haist. In
1928 at ,Citurchill, Ontario,
he married the former Ethel
Avery,
A former farmer and
barber • he was in the
Canadian West for two years
and resided in Toronto and
Winthrop before retiring to
Seaforth in. 1967. He was a
member of Northside United
Chinch.
'He is survived by his wife
the former' Ethel Avery
whom he married. in
Churchill. Ont. in 1928. He
also is survived by one son,
William, of Alhoville.

dative of Nova Scotia who
predeceased her in 1969 and
who prior to his retirement in
1946. was manager of the
Canadian Bank of Commerce
'in New Glasgow. N.S.
She is survived by two
sons, John C. of Dartmouth
N.S,. and David W. of
Earg)ca, N.S. arid two
daughters, Mrs, A.Y. (Win-
nitre& G.) McLean of
Seaforth and Mrs. V.M.
(Nancy Letitia)' Seppala of
London, ten grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren
and two sisters, Mrs. E.R.
(Mary) MacLeod of
Cambridge, and .Mrs. Sam
(Dora) Stark of EJ Cajon,
California. She was pride
ceased by two sisters and one
brother.

arrangements. The ashes

Glasgow, Nova Scotia.
