Joyce Vivians. , The meeting opened with the 4-H pledge followed by the roll call "My favourite breakfast" answered by 13 menu bers and 2 leaders. The practical side 'of the meeting began with three demonstrations. Barbara Templeman demonstrated how to, make a "thin white sauce" "using the melted fat method. At a recent meeting of Logan Township council, • plans were made to install ' . sidewalks in Monkton along •i the south side of the street on. "-County Road #9 from the stores east to Schade Street. The contractor will be M., • Ouipp. • Council also instructed the township road superintendent to'advertise for venders for snowplowing township, roads for the 1978-79 'season. The road supetintendent reported stop , signs have now been installed at the intersections of the concession roads and sideroads throughout the township. • . Council accepted a petition calling for the repair' of the Grey Branch of the North- west Drain, • Council also approved road • accounts to the amount of $17,497. • This included $8,703 to Machan Construction Ltd. for hauling and loading gravel and $3,707 for. the gravel for the, construction of sideroad 30 between Con-- rr cessions-.9 and_10 and othet road repair work.
