A new venture in town is
the Hensall Recreation " •
Centre, opened in the, former"
store-4f Brian Richman, the
photographer. (Brian has
moved to another .• .store,
former 13•J's, at the east end
of the doWn town block.) The
rec centre 'opened last Friday
evening and 'appeared to be
well patronized by the
younger members of the
community. It 'is owned by
Milt Kellar of Exeter and
contains two pool tables,
Snack machines and pin-ball
• machines.,

Plowing Match at Wingham
next week are the Women's
Institutes of t linen County.
They have even designed a
special outfit' and 'badge to'
wear to. bring the organiz-
ation to the' attention of the
public. The women are to
wear these• outfits, of blue
and gold, the Women's
InstitutecolOurs, when visit-
ing or when working at their
activities at the Match. This
includes ushering in the
women's pavillion or vvorking
in the courtesy booth which
the Institute running all -
• week long.
Women's Institute
members are 'also acting as
waitresses at the Official
Banquet held An Hewiek
cOmmunity Centre on the
Friday evening but the out-
fits be worn then.
Dark skirts and white blouses ,
are to be worn by both Shifts
of workers at that event with
badges worn-on the blouse.
So watch out for the 'Womens
Instittite members when'
attending the Plowing Match
- they won't be hard to find.

Institute met in the Legion •
Hall on Wednesday evening
with 14 attending and heard
Rev. , Bob McMullen of
Brucefield speak on Public
Relations. Public Relations
includes communicating with
people, relating to others,
representing one person to/
another and the services that
one sectjon gives to another.'
To do this well a person
needs . understanding, com-
passion, aid the ability to
listen to others. '
The meeting was presided
over by the, president, Mrs.
Joyce Pepper. Mrs. John
Corbett and Mrs. Carl 'Payne
were in charge of.,the Pro-
gramme. Sandra Waddell
gave a few selections on the
accordion .and a short sing-
song was enjoyed.
