Prohibition Meetsng.
On Monday afternoon, Aug. 15, a
prohibition meeting was held in the
township hall, Gerrie, to organize
the township of Howich for the corn-
ing plebiscite. Mr, Kerry of Brussels
president of East Huroh organiz-
ation was in the chair, and perform—
s ed his duties most accepgably. The
meeting was opened by prayer after
which the president explained the
: work of organization. The town•
ship was divided into two parts, the
western division embracing noting
subdivisiosns 1, 3, and b ; and the
eastern division, poling.'sub:divisions
