Present were relatives, friends and neighbours. Mr. and Mrs. Francis Helmetl were guests at the recent installation ceremonies in London of Bishop Sherlock. They report it was a very moving ceremony that started out with the reading of the letter • from the late Pope Paul • appointing - Bishop Sherlock to the position of Bishop of London. For the benefit of thoe who live far away from, us here we would like to say as we look through the country our crops never looked better. We've had a needed rain. which 'has a policy of encouraging the community to use school facilities when, not .. required for school purposes. The five Perth high schools saw 5,244 hours of use while the communitispent 5,069 hours in, the eleMentary schOols. Mitchell District High School almost doubled the ' time its plant wag used by the community, with 456 hours compared to 250 a year ago. • • Outside of Strlatford, Upper Thanes elementary school in Mitchell was" used more by the public than any other in the county, logging 421 hours. That -was also the sharpest increase as • the public' only spent .124' hours in Upper Thames last year. Mitchell public school only saw sir hours of community use. I had a very enjoyable time touring Washington D.C. Arlington Cemetery of the Late President John F. Ken- nedy's grave and Washing- ton Monuetrient. The week-- ena was spent Deep-Sea fishing. Perth residents People in Perth County'are making better use cif`the 31 public schools in the area .than they ever have before, according to a rert presented last week to the' Perth 'Board -of Education. The report, compiled by.
