During this time many Penny Sales were
enjoyed by all. The C.W.L. helped for
celebrations: Golden Weddings Anniversaries
ordinations and .1-figh School Graft:idiots.
When the tornado hit in 1967 ladies of
C.W.L. donated much of their tine to feed the
Mennonit es and neighbouring men as they
aided the suffering.

In 1952 when Dublin's. CWI...was formed.
Dr. Ffnulkes was the., fiat director of the

Yearly delicious suppers were served the
C.W,L, members. Summer garden parties
were enjoyed by Dublin parish and
neighbouring communities. Card parties
bingos galore and once in a while a little jig
addled • enjoyment to all present.
Christmas parcels were sent u) "'sick" and
"shut-ins. In 1959. Fr. Remmi Durand
became Spiritual Direethr.' Father Durand's

A dark cloud wa.S cast over our tittle burg
and neighborhood Sunday last, by the
death of Rev. Father Fogarty, the sad
event occurring shortly after two o'clock in
the afternoon. The Sunday previous -he'Vvas
api.. Tully in the best of health, and took
an interested par( in the hlessing of his
new church bell. which 'Was performed by
Bishop McEvay'. Soon after he contracted a
severe cold, which developed into plurisy
_followed, by pneumonia. Fa,ther. Fogarty
was respected and beloved by all who
klieW him. He was a natiye. of county
Kilkenny, ' Ireland, and received his
theological., education - at the 'Grande
Seminary, Montreal. He was ordained to
the Priesthood .on Decent ber..22nd, 1895,
and conseqUently died one day Previous to .
the' seventh. anniversary of his ordinal ion.

Sonic very interSting meetings have been
held on Christian Fancily life. A million hours
of prayer for the protection of the unbortrehild
were sponsored by the C.W,L,
Father Gordon Dill is the present spiritual
director. Father's greatest interest was to
impriwe the cemetery. This was accomplished.
and the Sim lie of the Risen Christ was. erected.
A beautiful new rectory was built during- this.

he was held in high esteem by• the

curate .at lrishtown, remaining. there until
Dublin -pariO was separated frinn Irish-.
town. His work. in Dublin will be a lasting
monument lo his faithfulness and zeal. He
personally organized the parish and, with
the assistance of willing workers, erected a
'handsome church and school and secured a
comfortable presbytery. Ilk parish was
efficiently organized and is one of the most
prosperods in .the diocese., A sad
circumstance in connection with his death
was that the new bell blessed a week ago
