Hensall Fair on Tueday evening

the Rebekah Assembly Sessions

given by Mrs. Ruby Bell. Lodge
meetings were closed for the
summer months, Progressive
euchre was played with the

Mrs. Roberts garden club roll
call was "The reason I have a
garden". Some of the members
said that it was economical, that
there,was always fresh fruit and
that it was good exercise.
- Everyone brought ideas• for the
book cover and it was decided
that the club name would be
"Happy Hoers", the covers will
be green with black lettering.
After the discussion questions
the Ineeting was adjourned.
The third meeting of the Happy
Hoers was held at the home of
Mrs. Roberts. Mrs. Roberts
demonstrated how to freeze
rhubarb. A quiz on wotk
previously taken was conducted
and the meeting adjourned.

Seaforth at the home of Mrs.
Wm. McDowell on June 21. Mrs.
Jack Sinclair . gave a thought
provoking topic on "A woman
who wants to do something finds

Hospital.
Hodgins and Hayter, Parkhill,
are doing some ditching in the
village.
The McLean reunion was held
on Sunday June 25 at Mrs. S.
Graham's ,cottage, Grand Bend.

of the Bean Festival Booth. It was
decided to' send $35 donation for
the Children's Aid. •

Obituary
ALFRED E. CLARK.
Alfred E. Clark, former Hensall
resident, passed away at Victoria
Corp. Westminster Campus,
London, June 21, 1978 in his 89th
year. Predeceased by his wife the
former Bertha Welsh, May 1969.
Surviving is his son Jim Clark of
PalmerstOn and daughter Mrs.
Keith (Mary) Buchanan, Hensall;

London; Also surviving seven
grandchildren and six 'great
grandchildren. The members of
the Hensall Branch of the
Canadian Legion held a service at'
the Bontltron Funeral Home on
