The performers had the. audience participate in 'each act. The •students thoroughly enjoyed the acts. Play Day On Tuesday, June 6th, Hullett Held their annual play day. The students from grades Kinder- garten to grade 7 were divided into 20 "teams. There were ten events which the grade 8 class looked after. The„ grade 7' class was chosen to be captains: Overall, Team 14, led by Keith Hallam, and Team 20, led by Diana Shotbrook tied, so they played a championshiti event. Team'20 was defeated and Team 14 won the event. The play day proved to be very enjoyable and worthwhile. CTN. $2.89 On Wednesday June 14 the grade 7 class loaded the bus and went to Toronto to visit the Metro ' Toronto Zoo and to see the Blue , Jay's play. They left the school at 9:30 a.m. and arrived at the zoo at `12:30. They had lunch at the zoo and then looked around at some of the animals. They left the zoo at-3:30 and then headed for the ball game. The class watched the. first game of a double-header. They returned home at 11 p.m. with a lo,t of happy but tired students. Grade 3 Trips - On June 10, the grade 3 class went to the Goderich Salt Mines. They were shown through the mines and were told hove, it worked. They were each given a sample dA salt before they left. The next 'day they • travelled to VYingham where they observed some sheep being sheared.While in Wingham they took a tour through the 'CKNX-TV station.. They were told how everything worked and then returned home. The class enjoyed the educational trips. • Trip to Halmesville On Friday, June:16, the grades 6, 7, 8and Poiver Learning students travelled to Holinesville. There they heard the Holmesvilleband play under the direction •of Mr. Blackwell, who also teaches at our school. The members of ourtband took their instruments add also played two numbers.
