Huron County 'Playlibtise Will
bald an Open House on Sunday
afternoon, June 24th between the
hours of 2.4 p.M. The general
public can have a cooks tour of the
Playhouse.' throujb the work;
shops, rehearsal halls. grounds,
lounge quarters, offices and of
course back stage.
Members of the 1978
Company, the Board and staff will
be .= hand to guide the visitors
farm, point to point and 'answer
questions and to serve light
refreshments at the conclusion of
the tour.
The public is entitled to attend .

Dance and Monte Carlo Night
A Gala Dance and Monte Carlo
night will kick off the, Huron
Country Playhouse season on
Saturday, June 24th. Hundreds
are e*PeCted to attend the event
which is given each year for
season ticket holders. This year
regular admission to the dance.
which features music by Joe
Feeder, will also be available.
Monte Carlo ;Casino night •; is
. being added to the night of
festivities. Food and Drink, will be
available at, the event which
begins at 9 p.m.
Opening Night
Fireworks will. augment the
Huron ebunty Playhouse opening
on Tuesday:* the 4th of July.
Directly following the per-
formance of Neil S inon's The
Odd Couple, the show's stars
Jack Duffy apd Les Carlson will
cut a huge cake with will be
served to the crowd of first
nighters, A capacity attendance is
expected 'at the., opening of the
Playhouse 7th Season. -
Highland band coming
The second summer concert of
C the 1978 series of Chamber of
CoMmerce Program was given by
the Seaforth Dashwood
Community Band under direction
of Dr. Charles Toll to an
appreciative audience..
They opened with Natiorial
Anthem sung by Vic Fox--soloist
from People's Church North'

Mrs. Nora Maloney, East William Street, was guest of
honour at a smorgasbord dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Leon Maloney and family, R. R. #1, Dublin on Sunday. Her
children and grandchildren tionoured Mrs. Maloney on the
occasion of her birthday. Guests were present from Seaforth,
London, St. Marys, Guelph and Ailsa Craig.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Connell were in London Friday, June 9,
attending the graduating ceremonies of their daughter-in-law.
Sandra, when she received her Master of Education Degree,
Mr.. and Mrs, Richard Downey and Miss Anne Downey
attended the graduation of their nephew Mr. Richard Carter
from the University of Toronto.

Dr, John A. Got will and Mrs,. Gorwill have returned. to
Seaforth after spending the winter at their home in Tobago. They
expect to leave. for their Port Elgin cottage later this Month..

England and Scotland.

Rev. J. Ure Stewart celebrated h is.96th birthday on Sunday at
his James Street residence. Active and in good health be is out
most every day. Although he has continued to drive his car -Until
recentlyjhe says he doesn't intend to renew his drivers permit,
this year. •
Little Andrea Brown spent the weekend with her
,grandparents, Mr, ;and Mrs. William Brown, Jarvis Street, this
