Tournament a success!
Dublin Lions Club made about
$1,200 from its Dublinfest
Saturday, according to Lions Club
preseident Louis Kramers. The
money will help pay for the
pavilion the Lions build in the
park in Dublin.
-- The fourth annual Dublinfest
consisted of a 12 -team ladies'
slow pitch baseball tournament
' followed by a barbecued pork
drop dinner and dattee,
Mr. Krarners said the baseball
tournament was well attended,
but attendance at t he dinner and
dance wasn't quite as high, as
hoped for. About 300 attended
the dinner, he said.
Baseball teams from
Sebringville. Rostock, Milverton,
Brodhagen, Seaforth, Manley,
Winthrop and Dublin competed in
the baseball tournament.
Sebringville was the ,top team in
the A class and Manley were B
Bass champs.

displaying a variety of crafts at
the fifth Seaforth Craft Show..
The show, sponsored by Unit 5,
U,C.W. of the Northside United
Church, is being_held on
Saturday. June 17 from 10 to
5 p.m.
Exhibitors will be attending the
show , from New - Hamburg...
Listowel, London, Thorndale -and
Pahnersten with a variety of
crafts including petitpoint,
ceramics. leathereraft. wooden
toys and furniture. apple dolls,
crocheting. knitting and Japanese
punch embroidery.
A draw will .be held every -half.
hour during the day, with the
prizes vouchers which can be
used to purchase items on display
Clare Devereaux Was successful in passing the Water Safety
InstruetOr Course given by the Canadian Red CrosS Society and
the Royal Life Saving Society at Thames Hall, U.W.O.
Mr. and Mrs, Murray Butt and Mr. and Mrs. Peter Dale all of
Stratford and Mrs. Karen Geddes and their Mother, Mrs., Edea
Butt of Town, were in Flint, Michigan, last weekend, where they
attended the funeral of Mr.- John Butt, brother of the late Roy
Butt and son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Butt, who died on
June 7 in his 77th year. He is survived by his wife and daughter,
Dr. Joy Carter and 2 grandchildren. Jeffrey and Cathy.
Tuesday marked four years since Meals on Wheels started in •
.Town,,Over 5,000 meals have been served during that time. Up
to 12 meals are deliVered to Seaforth people some days.
Duncan Malcom Sr. and His son Duncan and wife Ed lath have
been visiting his brother Peter Malcom of Seaforth the Malcolus
came frOrn Perth, Scotland and will be in the area until June
24th. _
Harry Nesbitt, formerly of McK illop Township, entered
Stratford General Hospital on April 24th and was moved to
University Hospital, London on May 17th. On Monday, June
12th, he underwent surgery for the fourth time and appears to be
progressing satisfactorily.
Mrs. Alice' Stiles of Toronto is spending holidays ,at her.
home here.

minutes will go to the Egmondville
United Church Young Peoples. •
