Members of the Huron County
.Federation of Agriculture have
agreed to support the Bogie
Beach Cottagers Association in
their fight to stop subdivision
development adjacent to their
cottages which they believe will
destroy the area's environment.
Bogie Beach is about four miles
north 'of Goderich, on Con. 12,
Colborne Township. '
In 1976„. a plan of subdivision
was prOposed for the construction
of 19 seasonal homes on the land
adjoining Bogie Beach.

--representing the cottagers, told
the members of the O.F.A. that
her group is appealing the
subdivision proposal at an
Ontario Municipal Board hearing
to be held at Carlow Town Hall on
June 12 at 11 a.ni.
Mrs. Hutton asked that the

opposing the development, which
she said-would he encroaching on
agricultural land.

The 1978 Soil and —Crop.
Management Tour has been
scheduled for July 17-21. This
tour is designed to provied an
opportunity for young farmers to
study .a .number of soil, and crop
management systems on a
practical farm basis.

representatives between the ages
of 18 and 29 on, the tour. The
registration fee for the tour is $20.
