B. THE CARROLL RESIDENCE - Built in 1875, a
two-storey white brick house originally,a square plan
Italianate' house, now a "T" shape ti'oegh an 1880
addition.
C. THE CORNISH RESIDENCE - Built in 1870, it contains
examples of. N co-Classical and• Gothic Revival detail.
D. THE DOIG RESIDENCE - Built' Airier to 1850, an
example of the. hrst_farm hotise style considered to be
one of the first brick residences to be built in Seaforth.
E THE DUNLOP. RESIDENCE - Built in 1875, one of the
finest examples of a later "farmhouse" structure in
Seaforth;
F. THE HANSEN RESIDENCE -*Built in 1885, vernacular
style consisting of variations originating with foreign
architects, particularly the deep cave projection with
finely detailed yet massive wooden brackets.
G. THE HORTHY RESIDENCE - Built in 1872, one of the
earliest briek houses built by John Ament; front facade
facing east is, believed to be original.
H. THE KUNZ RESIDENCE - Built in 1880, centrally
located front projection with the entrance on the side
rather than the front, shaped roof verandah of the early
• Regency Period in Ontario architecture.
I. LORNE VILLA APARTMENTS - Built 1886-1890,
represents the non-farmhouse style of residence in
Seaforth.
J. THE MCIVER RESIDENCE - Built in 1874, features a
unique s'et of three Scottish dormers, Otis vertical
grooves on the clapboard siding. ,
K., THE SMITH RESIDENCE - Construction date
unknown, it is one of the last remaining board and batten
*linished houses.
L. THE WALKEWRESIDENCE - Built as a store in 1864,
the symmetry plan accompanied by the blend of the wood
portions to I 2 basic brick structure makes for an
