The Huron Expositor, 1978-06-08, Page 1414 - THE HURON EXPOSITOR, 4yNE 8, 1970 TWO DAY SAFETY CHECK In the two day safety check held in Seaforth on May 29, 30, 72 vehicles were inspected, nine vehicles had their plates removed, four vehicles .we,re considered unsafe and the drivers were -charged, 28 cars passed inspection and the remainder of the drivers were-asked to-repair defeuts and appear at the Seaf orth police office on June 19.. Three people who failed to bring their ----vettiel es-for -inspection were -charaged -wi-h--fatlure-Lto submit their- vehicles•-to • a safety inspection, according to Seaforth police. She is one or 200 university -students, 100 from Ontario and Quebec respectively, participating in the Ontario-Quebec summer student job exchange program sponsored by the Ontario Civil Service Commission in co-operation with the Ontario-Quebec Permanent Commission and the various ministries of both provincial governments. The program. launched 1970, enables students ol the two provinces to profit from their work experience in. order to improve their Proficiency in their second language while contributing -to the development of a potter understanding _between the two provinces. Barry and Pat Taylor and Eric and Sharon Chuter spent a.-couple of days in Toronto and also attended the Blue Jays ball game. Don Taylor has returned home' after spending a few days in Clinton Hospital.
