Miss,Jean Turner of Toronto spent the weekend, at her home
here.
Mt: Murdock Stewart of Chicago 'was in town this week and
visited his cousin Miss Ella Elder.
Mr. Fred Scott of Ajax was a guest of-Mr. and Mrs, James F.
Scott while en route to Alberta where he intends residing, While
here he visited his aunt Miss Jean Scott of Harpurhey .who
recently, moved to Huronview. •
'" Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sills were in Port Hope over the weekend
attending the wedding of. Patricia, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Devereaux, Port Hope, and Brian, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Ben Sinclair, Cobourg, Ontario. They also visited with Mr. and
Mrs. Gerald Townsend in Arthur.
Mr. Joseph McConnell of 1-luronview called on Seaforth
friends last week.
About 30 friends, relatives and neighbours gathered at the
home of Charlotte McKercher in McKillop Sunday night to
honour Vanda Storey, whose marriage to Glen McNichol of Nile
• takes place June 17.
Special guests included the bride's grandmother Mae
Campbell of •S-eaforth, her mother Frances Storey, Vanda's
sister Evelyn Henderson and her future mother.in-law, Evelyn
McNeil.
Jim McQuaid has returned home from Victoria Hospital where ,
he underwent eye surgery.
Andy, Susan and Gaby White spent Saturday evening with
Frances, Bud and Chad White at their cottage north of Goderich
at Bogie's Beach. •
Rev, J. Ure and Mrs. Stewart: were Sunday guests with the

Mrs. Betty Janke of Walkerton, area co-ordinator with
Canadian Arthritic Association, was in town on Friday and in
company % with R.S.MacDonald, chairman of the local
association, discussed organization plans with executive

Oliver McKay, who has spent the winter at Kilbarchen,
was on Main Street Saturday greeting. frierids.

Car destroyed by fire
A car owned by Gordon
Blanchard, R.R.4, Walton, was
destroyed by fire on Tuesday
evening.
Mr. Blanchard had just turned
