accordian solos by Mrs. Eleanor

Walton Community Hall was a
quilt fancier's dream Saturday
afternoon as 80, quilts of various
types'and ages Ikere: displayed by
the Walton women's Institute.
The quilts, which belong to

impressive.
Besides a special display of
antique quilts, appliqued ,
patchwork, embroidered, painted
and, plain quilts were on display.
Three antique crocheted
bedspreads were included.
Several crazy quilts , each a
little different were shown,
including one of 11 made by
Marjory Humphries' grand-
mother for each of hdr children.
Almost as many patterns as
quilts were represented but there
were variations of the same
patterns... A Canadian Rose or
Sharon and a plain Rose of Sharon
for example, two or three log
'cabin patterns and two sli ghtly -
different Tulip pattern quilts.
Others were original in design
...for example a Little Bo Peep
quilt, made especially for, a
granddaughter's room.
Several autograph quilts, one
made by Duff's Church CGI,1, in
1949 were also shown.
