MONTGOMERY William Charles Montgomery of Mitchell, formerly of Winthrop died suddenly on Wednesday, April 26, 1978 ,ftt the home of his daug hter near Barrie;' Ontario in his 75th year. He was born in McKillop Township, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John, A. Montgomery of Winthrop_ _ aed _ received his ' education at Winthrop. and Seaforth. He was married October 4, 1940 to Alberta Richmond of Morris Township who predeceased him in April 1950. He farmed for a number of years in McKillop Township and took a keen interest in sports especially football, hockey and hore racing, and trained race horses in Ohio until his retire- ment. • • The. funeral service was held froth the .Lockhart Funeral Home, Montreal. St,, Mitchell on Saturday, April 29th. The service was conducted by •Rev. Donald s with interment .in Maitland Bank Cenietery. Seaforth. The pallbearers were Messrs.
