Industrial
The Men's Industrial ball
team held their first draft meeting
and set the schedule for„, the
coming season. There will be
some new faces this year as 20
new players' where picked up.
Play will get underway this
weekend as the men(boys) get
limbered up.. Last season proved
most interesting as the fourthy
' place' finishers, the firemen, won
the Playoffs and this season looks
even more fascinating as all
teams picked up players. The
Optimists are improving the
diamond and the park for the .
upcoming season so the players
are ''figuring on improving their
play.
A list' of the teams as they are
now made up follows along ..... ith .
this seasons schedule. The only
changes will be at the next draft
meeting when the teams will, set
their final ro 'sters for this year.

Up some of the 31 days lost during
the recent teacher' strike.
The Huron county Board of
Education voted to ask the
province to alter the school
calendar so June 21, rather. than
June 14, is the last day of school.
Bruce Shaw, SDHS principal,,
said teachers are drawing up,their
final examination schedule now.
The exams will begin on June 15
and terminate on June 21.
Under • ministry • of education
