women's sportswear store will be located in the historic Gairdner
house on Bayfield's Main Street;
Mr. John Scott of Toronto visited his parents Mr. and Mrs.
James Scptt over the weekend. John leaves this week for
Iran, where he has taken a itaChing position for two years.

Attending the annual Spring Conference.of Region 2, Hospital
Auxiliaries Association of Ontario, held at Beaverdale Golf and
Country Club at Preston Monday were Mrs. William Chesney,
Mrs. Wilfred ,Titford; Mrs. .Jahn Turnbull, Mrs. John Patterson,
Mrs. John Pickard, Mrs. Frank Sills, Mrs. W. C. Bennett, Mrs.
Elva Ellis, Mrs. Mitchell Moore and Mrs. Orville Oke.
Jamie Lone, who has been in Johannesburg, S.A. for past two
years, recently returned' to Seaforthrto attend P.S. he're. He is.
staying with •his grandparents; Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Crozier,
Har'purhey.
George Kapelos of.the Heritage, Branch, Ministry of Culture
and Recreation, Toronto, and Mrs. Lynne DiStefano of the
University of Wesfern Ontario, London, were in town last week
'finalizing arrangements for a two hour tour of Seafortb on May
24 by three busloads of members of the Society for the Study of
Architecture in Canada. The Society which. is convening for
several days in London, is planning a day long tour Of Huron
• County with stops at Exeteelown- Hall, Seaforth„ Goderich and
Bayfield.
Madbnna McQuaid of Seaforth and Caroline Hoy of Guelph
were winners of the "Lorne Francis Memorial String Trophy" at
-the Stratford Musk Festivd1 in Stratford on Friday evening
performance. Anne Marie McQuaid ' of Seaforth- won' a
scholarship of $50.00 a gift of She Kiwanis Festival to further her
studies on the violin. Both are daughters of Mr. and Mrs,. Wilfrid .

Street residence.
Arnold Taylor of Brucefield hag been appointed a director of
the McKillop Mutual Fire Insurance Company to a position left
vacant following the annual tileting.of the company in February.
The Consul General of the United States,' John R. Diggins Jr.
in Toronto and his public affairs officer'Rithard McKiernan have
issued invitations to attend 'a wine and, cheese reception 'on
Thursday when a photo exhibit by Clare H. Westcott will be
• featured. Mr. Westcott, a well known Seaforth native is 'an
assistant to Premier Win. Davis. Among the guests will be
former Seaforth 'Mayor F.C.J.Sills.
. Mrs. Frank, Kling and Mr. and Mrs. O.J.Smith have returned
to their.homes here following a winter in Florida.
