in Florida.

weekend; M. and Mrs. Patrick Murray and three children,
London; Mr.. and Mrs. Roy McQuaid and John, Oshawa; Mr.•
Frank McQuaid and Rabin, Oshawa; Mr. and Mrs. Matthew
Denomme, David, Patrick and Gordon, Zurich; Mr. and Mrs.
Francis Denomme, Mr. and Mrs. Frank McQuaid, 'Kitehener;
Mr: and Mrs. Ben Hamilton and Miss Florence McQuaid,
.,Whitby, who all attended the 'McQuaid auction sale Saturday.
Dr. Ken Stewart and Mrs. Stewart, Waterloo and Mr. and
Mr's. Alvin Hammond of Moorefield were recent visitors with'
their father, Rev. Ure Stewart, who is a patient in Seaforth
Community hospital at present. .
Mr. and Mrs. James M. Scott who spent the winter in Florida
have returned to their home here.
Dr. J. K. Rodney and family have moved to their new home on
Alexander Street in Silvercreek subdivision.
Mrs. Donald Fullarton of Toronto visited •her grandfather,
Rev. J. Ure Stewart at Seaforth Community Hospital on Monday.
and Mr. and Mrs. John Dewan, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Elwood and
children Aleena and Kenton of London were Sunday visitors with
Mr. and Mrs. Stewart.
Mr. and Mrs. Ken Thompson and family of Hudson, Quebec
were recent visitors with his father Mr, Hugh Thompson John
Street.
Mrs. P. M. Troutbeck spent the weekend in Stratford.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hoggarth who spent recent months •in
Florida have returned to their Main St. North home.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Phillips have returned from Arizona where
they, spent the winter.

This year snowmobilers in the
London-Varna area raised
$27,500 in pledges after their
snowarama held at Hully Gully
recently.
This year, Whipper Watson's
Snowarama for Timmy raised a
• .record $482,000 in - pledges with ,
Ontario snowmobilers_
their previous year's total.

a well skilled authority on the

He has instructed in historical,
Archaeology at Wilfred Laurier
University, Waterloo, organized
and supervised. Archaeological
digs in Ontario, and is the author
,of many books and papers which
include "'Tire Early Potters of
Ontario", "The Arclelogical
Investigation of Two ' Huron
County, Ontario, Earthenware
Potteries", and "The Huron
Potfery, Egmondville, Ontario".

handle several parking problems
in town on Monday night.
No Parking sign will be placed
on the west side of Victoria St. ,
50 feet south of Goderich St. to
attempt to solve a parking
problem in front of St. James'
Roman Catholic Church.
Signs will be , placed at each
entrance to town adyisipg that •
parking isn't allowed on any town
streets from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m.
And finally, the town foreman
will check to see if there is enough
room (because of an existing.fire
hydrant) to put a new. parking
meter in front of Rathwells on
Seafirth's Main St.
