The addition of new
members to the beef feeder calf
club of the Mensal' Twilight
pring Show will resAlt in a
record number of catVes being ,
`shown this year secretary, Gladys"
McGregor told the annual
meeting of the society in Hensall,
Monday night.
The beef feeder calf club has
been a highlight of the •long
established Hensall show for
several yeras. A total of 61 calves
now are being prepared for., the,
show Mrs, McGregor said.
After the judging which
includes finish and showmanship
the calves will be sold by public
auction. ' The sale usually
generates a lot of interest among
local buyers. Huron-Middlesex
MPP Jack Riddell will again be
the master of ceremonies, for the
calf showing. and judging.
The fair will be held Tuesday
° Jane 20 at tbeliensall arena and
fairgrounds getting underway at 6
p.m. with a parade and official
opening.
After considerable discussion
admission nrices for the 1978 fair
were set at $1.50 for adults and 75
cents for students.
While final arrangements were
not made it is expected a fair
dance will, be held later in tlu
year. Director Bill Coleinan
suggested a talent show'be•helda
at the same time, to create more
interest.

word last week of the death of her
sister-in-law the late Mrs.
Charles H. Rhodes. Sylvania.
Ohio in her 91st year. She was the
former Ida Mickle, born in
Ridgetown • and lived all her
married life in, Toledo, Ohio. Her
family, relatives and friends.
