inquired of. us recently, what became
of the money which was' collected from
those parties who were convicted of
violation of the Scott A.et, we may say
in regard to the application of all such
fines that all moneys coming to the
hands of the Inspector, from any source,
are paid into the bank, and placed to
the credit of the Licensed Fund ac•
count, which is under the direction of
Licensed Commissioners. No sum is
paid out of this fund until an account
for the same has been passed by the
,Board, and has receivedthe approval
of the Provincirrl Secretary, whereup-
on a checque is limed, signed by the
Inspector and Board of Connnissioners,
and all accounts and dealings of the
Board and Inspector are audited by
the Provincial Government annually..
There iss at present paid into the credit,
of the Licence Fuud in West Huron,
the sew of $2400. $600 of fines still
remain unpaid parties who have
been fined in which thereis no. appeal,
and OW of fates which. are thesub-
'est of appeal:

The Torrance.farm in Hullet, near
Harlock, hasheen purchased by a Mr.
Parsons, from near Port Hope a
brother-in-law of. Mr. John Tatubiyn,
of the 12th concession. The price was
$9,000. it is a very cheap farm at
that price, .
The spanof horses left at the Col-
borne hotel stable, Goderich, last week,
by a- man'unknown, have since been re-
covered bythe owner Mr. James Hall,
of Sunsliine,••and were left there by
heman who had rented the farm and,
