WHAT A LOCAL FRUIT BUYER HAS TO f.iY OF THE PRECAUTION. It has come to be acknowledged that to have large crops and good crops of fruit, spraying must be done. A local dealer says that his experien- ced Hien can go along the road and as far as the eye can conveniently take in, can pick out every orchard that nas been sprayed. He advises fruit growers to pay particular attention to the instructions as to the time and method of spraying and follow them closely. Passed Away to the Unseen. On Tuesday the 22nd inst., Mrs. Janet McDonald relict of the late D. McDonald of West Wawanosh, pass - away at the ripe age of 85 years. after about a weeks illness of la grippe, to which the venerable lady secummbed at her late residence in, Helens. Her remains were in- terred in ehe Dungannon cemetery on Saturday the 24th being escorted thither by a large cortege of sorrow- ing friends, relatives and sympathiz- ing neighbors and acquaintances. Rev. S. Whaley conducted the fu.ner al services. The deceased venerable lady ,who with her husband were among the first settlers in the town- ship of West Wawanosh, was a sis- ter of the late John Cameron, who was widely known an respected. Before moving to West Wp.wanosh she was for three years a servant girl in the residence of the late Sir Allan McNabb, at Hamilton Ont. She leaves two daughters, Mr. David Todd, and Miss Janet McDonald, both of whom reside in St. Helens. She is the last of the family of bro- thers and sisters. Deceased was held in high esteem by all who knew her as an excellent citizen and neigh- bor. The bereaved daughters and other sorrowing relatives have the heartfelt sympathy of their numer- ous friends and aequanitanc s in their bereavelne frt.
