Huron and Ontario Electric Railway Com-

where he lived until the time of his demise.
He leaves a widow, four sons and five
daughters tnlie funeral on Monday was

Church Notes. •
On Monday evening Mr. Lowe lectured
on histravels to the Old Land, in the
vestry of the church. The audience was
good, the collection amonuting to a20.
Next Sunday, in the Congregational
church Rev. Barry L. Mason will deliver
the second of the series of sermons on the
Lord's Prayer. The subject will be
'Character the crown of life,'
The Local Union of Christian Endeavor
will moot in the Baptist church on '-T'ues-
ciny evening the 12tid inst. An interesting
programme has been prepared by the cone-
ntittee in charge and a Cordial invitation is
extended to all interested in the work.

i death of Mr. John Norris, which took
place at the residence of his father-in-law
at Windso, at eight o'clock, yesterday,
after an itlnese exteuding over several
months. Ile had been troubled for a long
time with a esurerono growth on the nodi
and consulted many eminent medi-
cal authorities in regard to it, but received
little satisfaction from them as to an ultz-
wate cure. A couple of months ago he

gressing very favorably, but gradually be-
came weaker, acid succumbed as stated.
!Mr. Norris was for ;tally years a resident

driver, and was very highly esteemed by

ance, and they were by no means few. Mr.
Norris for many years took an active
interest in societies, and was a Past Presi-
dont of the London ]Division of the Brother-
hood of Locomotive Engineers, amongst
the members of wbich he was highly
esteemed for bis outspoken advocacy of
what he deemed right between man and
man lie was also a promiuent member
of the Masonic fraternity, being a Cotn.
