Found Dead: at. Petrolea. Petrolea, Ont„ Aug. 8, --The body of a mart was found in the upper floor of J. J. Kerr's paint shop about 2.80 p, m. Chief Jackson was notified, and went to the place. He found JOS. McDonald, a noted house painter, lying on his right side, with his head resting on a block of wood. The body was straight, showing no signs of a struggle. The deceased was re- clining as if asleep, but on close ex- amination and from the odour of the body, it was clear that he had been for some days dead. Chief Jackson sent an officer for Coroner Mott, and on his arrival, and after looking at the body, went away. The Chief, with Alderman Marshall, went to Richmond's undertaking shop, and instructed them to take charge ot the body, and prepare it for inspec- tion, which they did. A jury was empanelled at 4 p. m., and all infor- mation was produced on the case with medical expert testimony. The jury returned the verdict: -"Death caused by heart failure.
