MacRae, London spent Easter The Easter. meeting of Cromat•ty W.M.S. was held in the basetnetit of church following a pot; luck dinner. 22 ladies and children were present. Mrs. T.L.Scott, the president, welcomed the members and guests. . then explained the, 'beginning of , the women's Missionary Society in Canada. In 1/364 a small group was formed in Montreal and through the years it spread from coast to, . coast . Missionaries wer,e sent out to where needed in Canada and later to the Countries of the World. The meeting was opened with the Call to Worship.- The Easter Glad Tidings- . program was followed. H ymn 410 was sung with. Mrs. Robert Laing at the -piano. Prayer by Mrs. T.1.Scott. The offering was received arid dedicated ,by Mrs. Douglas. Mrs, Cliff Miller and Mrs. Jean Carey favored with a duet accompanied by Mrs. Laing. Mrs, Calder McKaig presented the study book. "Do we care about anything a Canadian Indian speaks out". Mrs. Mervin Dow, a portion on -- "Are the Indian people a concern of Canada ,and.,. our attitude"; Materialism and apathy. Mrs. Jim Miller also read a part on Achieving Justice for the Native People and the Roll of the Church. The Secretary report read and approved. Treasurer's report given. 16 cards and 5 visits reported. Mrs. Lamont! was in charge of the Bible Study"Ood as the Oppressed". Correspondent Vincent Lane We' have just,. arrived back after spending Easter in Kitchener. So I naturally have not concentrated on all the happenings in and around the hamlet. The Dublin Peewee hockey team created a lot of excitement for the many fans •that followed them to Flescherton for the final 3 games in that northern town and are deserving of our, heartiest congratulations. More on this appearing in another section of the Expositor. Easter holidays were windy and cold.
