Mrs, Lavern Wolfe
A S7th Reunion was held at
Brodhagen Coquilunity Centre
when a dinner was enjoyed by the
confirmation class of 1920.Sunday
evening.
Members of the class were:
Mrs: Les Wietersen, nee Adelia,
Hillebrecht; Mrs. August Scher-
barth (Freda Hoppenrath); Mrs.
Norman Kistener (Annie Gloors);
Mrs. RObert French (Hilda
Bennewies); Mrs. Les Beuer-
mann (Toleda Miller); Marie
Meyer, Albert Siemon, August
Scherbarth, Harry Muegge,
Antone Siemon and Alvin Rose,
Sarnia.
Congratulations to the class.
Out of a class of 12, only one
member of the group is deceased,
Mrs. Norman Hoffmeyer (nee
Hazel Rapien), who passed away
in 1970.
Guests with Mrs. John Vock
were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Rode,
Listowel. At the same home was
Mrs. Lyle Spiece, Niagara' Falls,
for a few days. She also called on
other relatiVes and returned home
with her husband on Sunday.,
Louie Siemon accompanied them
to spend a few weeks at their
home. _
Mrs. Wm. Rose accompanied
her btother and sister-in-law, Mr.
and Mrs. Nelson Brodhagen, to
visit their sister, Mrs. Ordelia
Trentowsky, who is a patient in
the-nyrsing-horne- St:" ]Marys.
Mrs. Toleda Beuermann is
spending. Easter week with her
brother, Gordon Miller. She was
also a guest at _the Brodhagen
Community Cenfre, Sunday when
her confirniation class celebrated
their 57th anniversary. ,
Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Rudulph,
London were guests of the latter's
brothers 'and sister-In-laws,_ Mr.
and Mrs. Wm. Rose and Mr. and
Mrs. Gordon Rose and family on
Sunday.
Friends of Mrs: Wm. Siemon
will be sorry. to hear she is
patient in. Stratford . General
Hospital where she, has under-
gone surgery, Wishing her much
better health.
The patients in the Kilbarchan
.ntirsing home in Seaforth enjoyed
a sermon conducted by Pastor
Horst from . St. Peter's Lutheran
Church, Brodhagen,_
Mrs. Lena Bennewies, formerly
from Eirodhagen, is a patient in
the same nursing home. Wishing
them all a .Blessed Easter.
Sorry to hear Henry Davey is
confined to Victoria Hospital in
London. Hope he' will soon tees
much better.
The community hopes to
welcome Mrs. Betty Koehler back
in much better health after the
completion of her treatments in
Florida. petty won't have the --
pleasure of lying on the beach like
others that go to Florida but we'
hope complete recovery will make
he trip very rewarding.
Betty is' leaving this week.

Maloney's visitors last weekend
were Mr. Ray Maloney, Mr. and
Mrs. Mike Maloney, Stratford,
Mr. and Mrs. Steve Maloney,
Rosemary, Mr. and Mrs. Albert
Strassburger and daughter Ruth
Schatz of Kitchener.
Dave Maloney with the New
York Rangers of the N.H,L. has
been awarded the trophy as the
most valuable player on his team
for the 1976-77 hocky season. He
leaves on Tuesday, April 5th on
an European tour for one month -
Dave is Wilfred Maloney of
Dublin's grandson.
- Lions Meet
The Dublin and DistrietwitionS`
held their regular dinner meeting
at St. Patrick's School gym-with.
Mrs. .Miller catering. There were
19 Lions present with guests Zone,
chairman Glen Price of Clinton
and. Jack Ward, president of
Seaforth Mitchell Cable TV.
Lion Herb Brown held his
usual honest draw which was won
by lion Treasurer -D avid 'Brown.
Attendance-' prize went to Lion
Vern Steinman of St. Columban
store.

57th reunion in aeodhagen
for school
Last 'Tuesday was the first day
of,school at St. Patrick's School ,
Dublin for 28 little folks. It was
registration day for the kinder-
garten children who will start
their school life in September.
They came from a wide area -
Dublin, Mitchell, St. Columban
and surrounding townships.
For some of them it will nrean a
long bus ride each school day - a
few travelling as much as 27 miles
each morning.

Dublin & District Lions have
donated $120.00 to the. Cromarty
Boy Scout Pack to help them to
send 5 scouts and a leader to' their
annual Jamboree.
Jack Ward of Cable TV ' was
guest speaker and gave the
members a run down on the
setting up of Home Bingo for
September. Mr. Ward also
explained the new h ome station
which is under construction and
will be available for keeping the
community informed of coming
events and happenings of now
and previous years._
• A Leo Club usually sponsored
by' Senior Lions Clubs and other 0
community clubS was proposed. It
would provide activities for girls
and boys 13 - 18. Volunteering for
advisors were Lion President
James Paratchek and Lion
Ernie Fleming. Richard Ferguson
was welcomed to the, club. He is
the Manager of Cana dian
Imperial Bank of Commerce,
Dublin. -
Postmaster Don MacRae has
returned from a week in M iami,
Florida where he enjoyed very
good weather and attended the
famous Hialeah Race -Course to'
see the Flamingo :Stakes - Seattle
Slew outran the field of 12 horses.
