In the first game at Medway on -7riday,' the Junior Bears were lefeated 63 - 49 by St. Joseph's. ieaforth was training 49-47 with wo minutes remaining in the ;ame but 12 quick points by the Rams gave them the game. On Saturday -tire juniors came up with a 45 - 20 victory over West Elgin Wildcats. This win advanced them into the consolation final at Parkhill against Regina MUndi. Seaforth never trailed in the game, successfully breaking RMC's full court press,time after time. They led 19 - 9 at half-time. Skating On Friday, March 18,' the pupils and teachers of Hullett -Central went to the Clinton arena for a skating party. They left at 12:30 and returned home at 2:15 since it was, the •last day of school before the March break. Report Cards ' On Wednesday, March 16, all of the report cards for the second _term were handed out. For some people this was good news, but for others, not so good. Safety Patrol Jamboree Winner On March 9, students from Grade 7 handed in e;says on safety, .which they had been working on for about a week. The winner was Teresa Konarski, and as her prize, she will spend May 26 to 28 in, Ottawa at The Safety patrol Jamboree, where she and many other children will partici- pate in a conference which will he supervised. , Public Speaking On March 12, the Zone Cl public speaking contest was held. In the junior division Janice Daer of Hullett Central' took second prize . In the senior. division Cameron Moon of Hullett Centeal won first, and will speak again in .IvElvertoh on April 3rd. Grade Five Cook Out On Tuesday March 8, Mrs. :poke and her grade five class tad a cook out in the bush behind :he school They left about 10:45 and returned at 2:15. They spent most of-their time making a fire. Mice they got the fire started, :hey made lunch. Grade Six Cook Out' Qn March 10, the grade •six .lass went on- a snowshoe trip led by Mi. Millson and. Mr. Riley. They made fires with which they molted their food All of the students had an enjoyable day. Dental program, In the past two Weeks-,--mnses him the Huron County Health ',hut have been at Hyllett Central. Every grade reed ved the flourilye treatment this year, an orange Ativoured gel. The nurses, Mrs. kiting and Mrs. Dougherty, nstructed the grade six claSs on iental floss, as well as well as louride.
