Optimist Canoe Rice-will be. held
Sunday, April 3. Canoet and
kayaks will race from the
Egmondville , bridge to .the
Vanastra bridge 11/4 miles east of
Clinton'"
The entry fee is $10 per canoe
and $5 for kayaks. Registration
will take place at the Egmondville
bridge beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Proceeds from the race go to
support youth work and crippled
children. Trophies will be
awarded for the first' three
finishers in each of the seven
classes in the race.
Rules of the race are as. follows:
All persons entering the race
do so at their own risk.
Everyone in the race must wear
Gov't. approved life jackets or
belts.
No craft shall leave the water,
