Just when you think thg you '
have worked out the perfect
playoff system, 'someone comes •
along and throws a curve at you.
The controversy started last
Sunday night after•_the Hawk-
Stars contest —Which- the green
team won by a 4 - 1 score,
The possibility is strong that .
the Wings, Stars and Hawks can
all end up tied with 3 -2 records
after this coming Sunday night.
All three clubs claim a chance for
the final berth against the Blues.
The Stars lost to the Blues and
Wings. There is no way, with Ihe
way things stand now, that the
green team can surpass either
squad. They were officially
eliminated two weeks ago.
Because they were ousted their
remaining games meant little or
nothing.
The controversy resulted after
last week's 4 - 1 victory by the
Stars over the Hawks.
Both teams are now 2-2 and can
finish with identical 3-2 records as
already, mentioned.
In order for the' Hawks to finish
3 -2 they would have to beat the
Wings ... a team the Stars cannot
