MAIN.STREET, HENSALL Hensall streets looked as if a tornado
had passed through them late yesterday morning. Freezing rain
combined with high winds toppled tree limbs, hydro lines and tv
aerials. Power had been off since 11:30_Tuesday.night and was still
,/
off at press time. Although rain had stopped Wednesday morning,
limbs were still falling because of the weight of the ice. Volunteer
crews with chain saws',and trucks tried to clean up debris on the
streets while people stayed home and tried 'to keep warm. •

There will be no dect hunting
season at all in Perth County this
year after Perth County Council
widened the ban on the animals to
include all- weaponry.
Council was going to send a
letter to the Ministry of Natural
ResbUrces thanking them for the
ban on the animals when it was
pointed opt by Hibbert Rec've
Ross McPhail that the ban did not
include bow and arrow hunters.
The ban covered only those
