of Columbus held their annual
Christmas party in the Council
Rooms at St. Columban.
Approximately 100 attended with
guests from Stratford and
Goderich. -
Preceding the social and
dance the regular council meeting
took place and was chaired Oy
Grand Knight, Philip Durand,
who extended a welcome and
Season's Greetings to guests and
to Santa Claus from the North
Pole who' distributed a present to
each lady present.
The monthly draws were held
—With the door prize going to Bro.
Lionel Cyr, Pot-of-Gold to Bro.
Jim Devereaux; and the Share-
the-Wealth was won, by Bro. John
Murphy. Winner of the digital
radio was Gib Stade, Zurich.
In addition to the regular
draws, Bro. Bill Hallahan, Blyth,
Faithful Navigator of the Dean

SUSPENDER PROBLEMS — Brian Elmslie's suspender problems resulted in what
was probably the first penalty ever for indecent exposure at the Seaforth arena
during the recent CKNX Try Hards - Seaforth Selects hockey game. Above a Try
Hards teamate helps? Brian gets up and makes his way to the penalty box. The
Selects, who had Eddie Shack's help for one third of the game won and ,so did the

Seaforth atoms maintain lead
On Tuesday December 21,st, Mitchell Atoms by 9 - 3 score.
• the Seaforth Atoms defeated' the, Mitchell had a 2 - 0 lead early in
the first period with goals by
Mike Murphy and Captain Jeff
Pauli. By the end of the first
period Blaine Hackwell, David
McLltvain and Greg, Murray
scored for Seaforth while Jeff
Pauli added another for Mitchell,
making it a tie.
In the second' period, David
McLlwain scored on a good pass

in the game which was officiated
by Steve Bennett and Doug.
