Institute held in the township hall
on Wednesday, Dec. 15. at 2• p.m.

and Mary Stewart Collect read 'A
Solitary Life' and 'Holiday Fair'.
Sixteen members answered the
roll call by giving a cookie recipe
and bringing 1/2 doz. Mrs. Bill
'Mahon gave a very, interesting
paper on the• origin of the
Christmas card.
Cato' singing Was enjoyed with
Mrs. Robert McCaughey at the
piano. Mrs. Spencer Jeffery was
present in lieu of her daughter
Ruth and accepted a gift of a'
*spoon rack to display her eighteen .
spoons which she has received for
completing a. eighteen 4-H
Homemaking Clubs.
Mrs-John Templeman gave a

were given in the form of a TV orb.
radio broadcast. This added a
new note of interest to that part of
the proceedings that can easily
become boring. Some in-
vigorating music was provided by
the band •of drums and wind
instruments of Grade 8 Stratford.

crafts were displayed and Mrs.
ClaralGouge introduced the new
'projects coming up for both 4-H
clubs and seniors. All of us should
take time for people and make the
most of all opportunities to
'develop talents. .be flexible anbi
enthusiastic.
Getting involved and making
new friends are the extra benefits
gained from 4-H clubs,„ stated
MisS Diane ' Gibson who has
completed 1.4 projects.

memorial scholarships presented,
at the banquet in the evening.
Winners- must be 4-H members
and are chosen for their academic
and personal qualifications. To
conclude the afternoon program a

Pattern" was presented by two
ladies. .

parents and friends' attended the concert, In St.
