Because it is near the end of the
year, we will get away from the
usual 1.H.L. format for one week.'
Recently there has been a lot of
talk about "unfair" I.H.L. hockey.
policy. Most of_the argument has
centered around the Centenaires
-and their use of I.H.L. players.
Before going on, I should hake
clear some points. Firstly, the
I.H.L. is for players who are 1.
too old for, organized hockey 2.
not good enough for organized
hockey. Organized hockey refers
to midget, junior, intermediate,
etc.
In the past,. the league has
suffered from players signing up
to play I.H.L. hockey and 'then
leaving to play somewhere :else.
If you ,have signed a card to'
play with someone eke, you can•
play in the 1.H.L. But should you
step on the ice for another team,
your I.H.L. playing days a're over
- for that year anyway.
rt defeats the whole purpose •of
the league when players shuffle
back and -forth between leagues.
The I.H.L. has to keep its own
players much the same way the
Centenaires do.
I.H.L. Notes: Ralph Wood is
on a real goal scoring spree tight
now. The slight, forward defence:.
man netted 4 last Sunday night
during the Blues...11-1 thumping
of the Wings.
Dale Kennedy is 3. points off
the pace set-last year by Dave
-Broome. Broome• had 25 goals
.and 17 •assists for 42 points.
Kennedy is 7-13-20 but is ahead
of Danny Muir's 24 assist record'.

This week saw the completion
of the pre-Christmas Draws at the
club. In the mixed league, Dave
Beattie's team won the Thursday
night 7:00 honours and Bob
Wilson's team came out on top of
the 9:00 draw. Friday night
winners were Neil Dolmage and
his team. Playoffs for these, three
teams will probably take place
over the holiday and I will report
the winner as soon as it is
declared.
The junior teams had one more
game to play before declaring
winners. Exams caused the
cancellation of last week's games.
The Monday night men's league
saw John Patterson Sr. and his
rink win the 7:00 draw and John
Patterson Jr. and Ids rink win the
9i00" draw. Playoffs for these two
teamsl, were scheduled for
Wednesday night. '

Questions?
Who makes up the Board- of
Direaors?
Answer:
People like you,. There are
about 4,000 hospitaF trustees in
the province. A recent survey of
hosPiral boards show that the
average Board of Directors has'
about 20 members. Probably
mcleethan half are elected at the
Annual Meeting of the hospital'by
the members of the corporation.
Some hospitals have trustees' who
are elected by the public at large
during the municipal elections.
There will be no 1.H.L. next'
Sunday night. This will be the fast
