Before the days of christnlas
-cards, good friends remembered
each other with special postcards
at Chriitmas and other holidays.
MrS. Isabelle Hamilton. who died
this year at Huronview at 102,
kept many of the cards that she
are written in German.
Many of the postcards are in
• lovely soft cdlours, and date from
the 1890's until the first quarter
of this century.
The Expositor reproduces
them. most of them reduced from
George and son Tom; who now
lives in Godedch. One of the most
interesting cards reprinted here is
from the Klondike and pictures a
cartoon drawing of eager
prospectors living in tents during
a Klondike winter. All its captions
received and they are now owned
by her great granddaughter,
Rhea, who works at the Huron
Expositor.
Mrs. Hamilton lived for several
years at the turn of the century in
the Yukon with her husband
