Away In A Manger
Away in a manger,
No crib for a bed,
The little Lord Jesus
Laid down His sweet head.
The star; in the bright sky
Look down where He lay
The little Lord Jesus
Asleep on the hay.
Carol. sweetly carol,
The happy Christmas time:
Hark! the bells are pealing
Their merry. merry chime;
Carol, sweetly carol,
Ye shining ones above
Sing in loudest numbers,
0 sing redeeming love.
The cattle are lowing.
The Baby awakes,
But little Lord Jesus
No crying He makes.
I love Thee, Lord Jesus;
Look down from the sky,
And stay by my side
Until morning is nigh.
Be near me, Lord Jesus,.
I ask Thee to stay
Close by me. for ever,
And love .me. I pray.
Bless all the dear children
In Thy tender care.
And fit us for heaven
To live with Thee there.

From angels bending near the earth

Two thousand-years of wrong;
And man, at war with man, hears not
The love song which they bring;
0 hush the noise, ye men of strife,
And hear the angels sing.

They look-ed up and saw a star -
Shinging in the east, beyond them far;
And to the earth it gave great light,
And so it- continued both day and night.
And by the light of that same star
Three wise men came from country far;
To seek for a King was their intent,
And to follow the star wherever it -vent.
And ye, beneath life's cruShing.load
Whose forms are bending low,
Who toil along the climbing way,
• With painful steps and slow,
